12.21.11 - Happy Merry Everything |
| Hey look! Isn't that Dave Grohl and the rest of the Foo Fighters? Wait, THE Dave Grohl who played drums for Nirvana and Scream? Why yes, yes it is. We are super pumped to have designed and printed shirts for him and the rest of the Foos. A BIG thank you to Meredith of the Gwinnett Center for all her help. Happy Holidays indeed. See you next year! Nick Canada |

12.01.11 - When Local Goes Global |
| It's been a really busy end of the year. Below you'll find some samples of some of the fresh stuff we've been working on. Everything from marathons, bands, and local grocery co-ops, to big college apartment complexes across the country. One of our proudest moments though, came a few months ago when our design skills caught the eye of Gap's global online media and marketing director. Yeah that's right, this place. So about a month ago we were asked to help design part of Gap's holiday campaign, which this season is centered around knit bombing (public space things like statues and benches and trees covered in knit yarn) ...hence the knit looking letters on this album cover I designed, BOOM! Peep the tunes from the mixtape here . More news soonish, I promise, Nick Canada |

08.29.11 - Back on Tour |
| The Olivia Tremor Control are BACK! One of the best bands this town has ever seen have gotten their harmony soaked psychedelic fuzz circus back together. They are hitting the road this month, and playing on and off until December with a show at All Tomorrow's Parties in the U.K. We are absolutely thrilled to be printing their new merch. Below are a couple samples of what they've taken on the road with them. Catch their tour in your town, look here. In other news, we printed up some special Whigs shirts for the band's most recent show at the Georgia Theatre. This print is a continuation of The Whigs' truck stop style merch vibe they've had going on, all designed by local creative megabrain Jordan Noel. And lastly, here's a brand new design for one the most popular design lines we've created for local antiques, art and vintage store Agora. Pick one up next time you're in there. More soon, Nick Canada |

08.11.11 - Back To School |
| It's been a long hot summer in Athens GA, another Athfest has come and gone, but here at Satisfactory, we just keep on keepin' on. The Gerogia Theatre has re-opened, and it's better than ever. As part of the Grang Opening, The Drive-by Truckers are rocking a 2 night stand this Friday 8/12 and Saturday 8/13. To commemorate the event we've printed up some special shirts designed by the one and only Wes Freed. Also, school is starting back up and we're happy to be working with the fine people over at the UGA Costa Rica program and the lovely ladies of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority. I've had quite a few friends take part in the Costa Rica program and they had the time of their lives. If we're lucky, maybe designing and printing their merch will lead to a trip down to that island paradise. Keeping my fingers crossed, Nick Canada |

06.27.11 - Busy Busy in 2011 |
| Well it's been a loooooong while since our last update. We haven't gone anywhere, Satisfactory's been cranking out beautiful screenprinting faster then we can flaunt it. So I'll do what everyone else does and just pass the blame. In this case, I blame Tuesday, a.k.a Purrl Nightingale, she's our shop kitty. That's a photo of her below. If you stop by Satisfactory's headquarters on Broad Street here in Athens, you can often find her charming customers, lounging in the office, and NOT updating our web site. Below you'll also find some work we've done recently for the wonderful people at Life Teen Missions, The Georgia Music Hall of Fame and Deadwood Guitars. The Deadwood stuff printed up really well, with an insanely soft print achieved by using Plasticharge White and Grey ink. For having so much ink coverage on the shirt, it really feels like it's not printed at all. More soon... Nick Canada |

10.14.10 - More Props for Satisfactory |
| So, not to toot our own horn, ok that's exactly what I'm doing. There's a wonderful book entitled Torso: T-Shirt Graphics Exposed that was recently published, compiling edgy, fresh, contemporary t-shirt art from around the globe. Our very own in-house art director Philip Goodwin has a bunch of designs featured in it. Nice work Phil! Torso was compiled by Formatmag.com founder and editor-in-chief Daniel Eckler, and is being touted as the definitive guide to today's T-shirt culture. There's some really wonderful artwork in here and a handful of it was printed right here in Athens GA by Satisfactory, so we're pretty excited about it. Check out the Athfest '09 merch that got in there...not too shabby. Keepin' things luxurious Nick Canada |

9.21.10 - Hot & Sticky in the Dirty South |
| The heat wave lasted ALL SUMMER LONG this year in Athens GA, but that didn't slow down Satisfactory one bit. We've been as busy at it's been hot. We somehow found time to prep designs for the return of all the Fraternities and Sororities here at UGA, and also rolled out a whole new merch line for the long anticipated Of Montreal / Janelle Monae fall tour. The all new Of Montreal merch includes everything from T-shirts and Zip-Hoodies to Scarves, Tote Bags and Underwear. And as always, everything was printed with the softest feeling inks using plasticharge and discharge printing techniques. All items are available on the current Of Montreal tour and most can be seen below. If you catch the tour, make sure to check out their merch booth. In other news, Satisfactory's hard work and dedication to great design was acknowledged in the latest edition of Athens Food & Culture magazine. The mag dedicated a whole 2 page centerfold spread (sorry no nudity) showing off many examples of our work and describing our humble DIY beginnings 7 years ago. You can pick up a copy almost anywhere in town or see the online version here. (Click on the image of the current issue and just give it a minute to load up...I promise it's worth the wait) Thank goodness Autumn is here. Nick Canada |

6.25.10 - Athfest 2010 |
| Well it's our 4th year working with Athens' biggest music festival, Athfest. Once again, with the help of Philip Goodwin over at VIII EAST, we've successfully organized, designed and printed a whole line of beautiful original merchandise for the whole festival. And to keep things looking consistent, Satisfactory was also charged with designing and printing all garments worn by the Athfest Staff. Below you'll see most of what was printed for the festival. If you're out this weekend, you can stop by the Athest merch booth and check it out first hand, as well as the women's sleeveless V-necks and children's clothing...cute stuff. As always, we used specialty printing techniques like discharge printing and plasticharge printing whenever possible. More soon Nick Canada |

6.11.10 - MGMT Special Edition T-shirt |
| It's been a little while since our last update but we've been real busy. From expanding our facility to accomodate new equipment, to printing for new clients like MGMT and even designing our own clothing line. We've been moving and shaking and making everyone look good in the process. We've just taken on printing specialty deisngs for MGMT who are touring all summer long. As you can see below, Satisfactory was tasked with printing a limited run of shirts for the band's show at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. A mix of waterbased inks and standard plastisol was used to achieve a high quality super soft print. We've also been trying our hand at printing with solar reactive inks. The White Tiger Gourmet is a great little gem of restaurant here in Athens GA, with an emphasis on great food and eccentric style. A real favorite with locals, The White Tiger was the perfect client for our first test run of solar reactive ink printing. These stylish V-necks have been flying out the door ever since we printed up a batch a few weeks ago. If you're in town, stop by, get a bite to eat and grab a fresh V on your way out. 3.10.10 - Drive-by Truckers Pre-Sale T |
| The new Drive-by Truckers album "The Big To-Do" will be released on March 16th. As a treat to fans they have been pre-selling a special on-line only T-shirt as part of a deluxe package with the album. We just finished printing a whole a mountain of these as you can see below. If you are so inclined you should go buy one here. These shirts were printed with a super soft plasticharge technique, giving the print almost no feel at all on this beautiful Amercian Apparel garment. Look for the Truckers on the road for most of this year, where you'll find a whole lot more merch created and printed by Satisfactory, using the art of Wes Freed and printed using either plasticharge or discharge printing techniques. More soon, Nick Canada |

2.19.10 - Vic Chesnutt Shows |
| We are very honored to have been asked to design a poster for the Vic Chesnutt memorial shows happening at the 40 Watt Club this weekend. The background illustration was done by Sam Seawright and beautiful RUSH screen printing was done by the wonderful people over at Bearded Lady in Austin Texas. Vic was one of those poeple you only needed to meet once to remember him forever. I'll cherish the handfull of great conversations we had for the rest of my life. If you're in Athens this weekend come to the 40 Watt Club (Friday February 19th & Saturday February 20th) for a celebration of Vic's life and music. Jack Logan, Patterson Hood, Elf Power, Ham1 and many many others will be giving what are sure to be beautiful performances. Both the show poster and T-shirts created by Satisfactory will be available for purchase. Bewildered, Nick Canada |

| Well it's been a little while between updates and it's mainly because we've been working so many great things. From a complete merchandise tour package for That One Guy, to a new line of merch for The GA music Hall of Fame, and even some new stuff for REM. We also printed a new shirt for the amazing people at Mailchimp.com, it may be the best thing we've ever printed. Check out our DESIGN section to see what i'm taking about. All I'm saying is it involves a wolf, a chimp, and some full moon howling. We also have some new stuff in there for the ladies of UGA Alpha Chi, Iron and Wine, UGA BCM, and the hilarious Ronnie Jordan. Oh and peace to Kristen Bach of the blog Beautyeveryday.com, fo spreadin' the love. Nick Canada |

6.29.09 - Summertime Fashions |
| Athfest, Athens GA's annual music and arts festival, has come and gone. This was the third year we designed and printed all the merchandise for the festival. And I have to say it was some of the best looking merch we've made for the festival to date. Pictures coming soon to our design section. In other news, we recently designed and printed some great stuff for PT's Coffee, the National 2009 coffee roaster of the year. We are also excited to be taking over merch duties for That One Guy. We're working on a whole new merch line for his upcoming end of summer/fall tour. Peace to all the robots our there. Nick Canada |

5.08.09 - Spring is here...it's mother's day! |
| We've been working hard and hopefully it shows. New clients have been filing through our doors. From the girls at Alpha Chi Omega, to Kaldi's coffee, to the SCAA EVENT in Atlanta. We've been Designing and Printing beautiful merchandise for all of them. The SCAA Event was a blast. We went down to Atlanta to stock up the merch store and met people from all over the world, and of course drank way to much coffee. Check out our DESIGN section to see what we've been printing for our clients including the SCAA. Oh...and in classic Athens Ga fashion, we also found time to do some Gardening at Night down here at the SatisFACTORY...thanks mom! Happy mother's day XXX Nick Canada |

3.13.09 - IRON&WINE and other good news |
| So we've been getting into a lot of great stuff as of late. First off we just printed some new limited edition shirts for Iron and Wine. You can purchase them HERE. The design came courtesy of the fine designers over at Methane Studios in ATL. We made this print happen using a technique called Discharge Printing, which basically takes the dye color out of the garment and replaces it with whatever dye color you choose. The result is a high quality super soft print. In fact it doens't feel like it's printed at all. Check these out, they're bound to sell out quick. In other news, we're happy to be supplying merch to our new faves Blitzen Trapper. Their show at the 40Watt ruled! I think they're gonna be rockin' over at SXSW next week. Go see them if you can. We've put up some new images in our design section. Hope you like what you see. Thanks, Nick Canada |
